Summary:
We are looking for a Program Manager/Mechanical Engineer with 4-7 years of professional experience developing products from concept to production. The candidate must have good communication and presentation skills as well as a good work ethic and attitude.

The studio has a fast-paced and collaborative work environment and the candidate should display excellent design engineering and problem-solving skills. Experience working in product design development or with industrial designers is required.  The candidate should be self-directed and be able to work with minimal supervision under tight and shifting deadlines.

The candidate should have extensive experience in leading the product development process with a strong focus on the execution of mass produced consumer electronics. Knowledge in various manufacturing processes and materials and finishing processes is essential to be successful in this role. The role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities

The short-term focus is to collaborate closely with the product design team and help executing their vision with an OEM/ODM manufacturer. The ability to manage multiple product managers and vendors simultaneously will be required.

The long- term goal is to help assemble a product development team including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, system engineers and CMF specialists.  As the teams’ skill sets expand, the team will take more and more of the actual product development work in- house.

The successful candidate will have:
Specific Skills:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-7 years of professional experience
• Knowledge of plastics, CNC and other manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of prototyping and model making processes.
• Experience using ProE 3D computer modeling software a big advantage
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
