Great Phone Before I had the HTC Incredible S, HTC Legend and HTC Touch HD. Excellent choice. January 28, 2013
nice job HTC! I started on Android with the HTC G1 years ago and I'm a happy HTC customer once again with the One S ! This phone is thin, light and feels great in your hand but still feels solid and not cheap. The camera is absolutely amazing! Being able to record in full 1080 HD is great and at the same time a recording being able to simultaneously take still photos is just perfect. I definitely would recommend this phone to anyone wanting a high end phone with android .I love this phone! May 22, 2012
What a nice equipment it is I've been using my phone several days now. Before I had HTC Desire (modded to Cyanogenmod 7.1), so naturally comparing to it. One S have definetly better performance in all aspects. It's kinda good looking and nice to handle, but somehow it feels bit too long and flat. This could be just lack of experience. Camera is amazing, at the beginning it just tooks pic after pic, because you're pushing button too long :). Picture quality is also totally different, it's great. What comes to customizing, it gets some minuses. As mentioned, I've owned Desire with CyanogenMod. And that had almost everything customizable. But perhaps it's better this way, for most users it's enough (not for us nerds). One feature that HTC Sense is missing every time, is screen rotating in home screen and in drawer, I just can't understand why this is disabled completely (really missing that feature from CM). Love it I bought this phone in April, and I love it. Yes, it doesn't have expandable memory, but I'm putting everything in the cloud, so what do I need with an SD card slot? Yes, the speaker sound isn't incredibly loud, but it sounds great when I plug it into my car and when I use headphones, so that works for me. There isn't a removable battery, but the battery compartment on my last phone broke and was never the same after I dropped it one time, so I'm actually kind of happy about it. The camera works really well for both pictures and videos, I've installed Chrome as a browser, which has been really fast on 4G. I like the look of it and I like the size of it, it's slim but it has a good-sized screen. I've been using this for over a month and I have no real complaints so far. I highly recommend this phone June 7, 2012
htc one s has memory issue! all in all its a relay good phone its too thin for me and slips out of my grip in a instant! ive had to fit the htc hard shell to get some grip what spoils it is its filled with junk apps that you cant remove! this makes me want to get a generic product thats not got the carrier rubbish as hand luggage! its big big big down fall however is its lack of memory! its sold as a 16gb version but by the time you get past the preloaded junk and shared memory your lucky to get 9gb! i was using a 16gb card in my old desire (long rest its soul!) and as there is no sd slot you cant expand. so that along with to many hat tips to the iphone has spoilt this product for me! Great Phone but Everything has Flaws... Hola! So, I agree with most of the positives folks have listed... Super productive and great ease of use, great display, its fast, can handle multiple high energy required apps without your battery tanking, etc. This post is for those wanting to know the cons... of course from the perspective an average gal with a busy life. It will help know if the phone will still meet your needs even with the cons. The phone didn't come in multiple colors when I bought it, I wanted white. The design is nice but super slippery, you will have to get a case... which solved my color issue but still have to buy more. I'm 4'11, on a good day, so the phone is a little wide for my small hands. Can't do the one hand texting thing. The phone does horrible in natural sunlight, it is very tough to see what you're snapping. I have perfect vision so, no, its not me, lol. The phone doesn't easily switch between portrait and landscape all of the time. When it works, 90% of the time, its great... but when it doesn't its super frustrating. The placement of the camera button is not good. The combination of a wide, thin, slippery phone, with the button on the front, does not make good for taking pics with one hand so you can be in them. Or pics of you solo, when you need a flash, since the front facing doesn't have that. They really should consider a button on the side of the phone. Last items, the phone gets really hot when working on several apps, even through the case. The keyboard is easy but I find I touch the wrong letters often, thank goodness for the spell ck! There is no external storage, ie, micro sd card. They do have a backup with a data storage site called Dropbox. I had heard of it before, so knew about it... just gotta take the extra step to get the free storage. Pretty cool how it automatically stores photos. Overall, I like the phone compared to my old G1 and Mytouch and would recommend it. *sidenote: the phone randomly cuts off for 2-5 mins. Not sure if it is the phone updating software or if it is my T-mobile network??? I got the phone when it first came out and it has happened 3 times. June 12, 2012
room for improvment Had bought this phone in replacement of my HTC incredible S And found myself to be a little disappointed. If I had the opportunity I would have purchased another incredible. The The built in SD card has a useable space of about 9.93 gigs which is not enough space to hold all of my files. Its not even able to hold my entire music collection which is disappointing due to the beats audio integrations. I currently have is a portion of my music stored on the phone and everything else in the included Dropbox space. SD card slot would have been of much convenience to me. Also the phone seems to run slower than my previous model in certain applications don't run as smoothly or properly. I find it strange due to the larger ram capabilities and procesing power. I am also bothered by The Black menu button stretching the bottom of the screen and the missing search soft key. I Find it inconvenient that a portion of my screen is missing when using the internet or applications. And I am unable to use the search function on certain applications anymore. I would suggest using the setup using the setup of the htc 1 V where you hold the multitask button as menu. I like everything else about this phone as a matter of fact I dictated this entire comment on it. I really like the cameras quality Inn features in the new look of htc sense previously I have used other home launchers but I like this 1 is now setup. Please allow for vertical scrolling of applications and more transition effects as well as more rows for applications on the home screens. September 11, 2012
Wonderful One word....WOW!! Absolutely amazing phone, the design catches everyones eyes instantly, I am inlove with htc sense 4.0 and the extremely fast processor blazes its way through my day,none-stop. The sheer lightness is astounding. Thank you HTC for this phone...no wait, for the One that I've been waiting for! May 31, 2012
