  • Q:How can I install an application I downloaded from my pc to my phone?

    A:

To install an application on your phone please make sure that the file format is "apk ". This is because the Android OS only allows ".apk" files to be installed on the phone.

After you have downloaded the ".apk" file, please use the micro USB cable to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. Choose Disk drive as the connection type. This will allow you to access the microSD card on your phone from the computer and be able to copy the file onto the microSD card. On your computer, please go to My computer and open the new removable disk. Copy the file to any folder on the microSD card; you can also create your own folder and rename it.

After you have finished copying, please turn off USB storage by pressing from the home screen, MENU > Notifications then select the ongoing Connect to PC status and tap Charge only.

In order for you to access the file and be able to install it on your phone, you should have a "file manager" application installed on your phone. Please search for keyword "file manager" on the Android Market; download and install it the application.

From the home screen, please press All apps > Settings > Applications then check Unknown sources

Using your file manager, please open the folder where you copied the file. Open the file then tap Install and you will have an option to "open" the newly installed application on your phone or "done" to just close and finish the installation without opening the newly installed application.

NOTE : All apps is the square icon in the lower left corner of the home screen that opens the phone's application menu.
