  1. Available storage is less due to phone software.
  2. Network bands in regions other than Europe and Asia Pacific may be different, depending on the mobile operator and your location. Upload and download speeds also depend on the mobile operator.
  3. Battery times (talk time, standby time, and more) are subject to network and phone usage.

A Standby time specification ("specification") is an industry standard that is only intended to allow comparison of different mobile devices under the same circumstances. Power consumption in a standby state is strongly dependent on factors including but not limited to network, settings, location, movement, signal strength and cell traffic . Comparisons of different mobile devices using such a specification can therefore only be done in a controlled laboratory environment . When using any mobile device in real life circumstances for which the mobile device is intended, the standby time could be considerably lower and will be strongly dependent on the factors as mentioned above.

Note: Specifications are subject to change without prior notice

An OK phone The main reason I bought this phone because it was the cheapest windows 8 phone when it came out. After almost 3 months of use; the rubberized skin on the upper corner started to peel-off; internal memory was all used up. And when I'm browsing pages or watching videos online, it would occasionally go back to the home screen and erase the session completely. So, did I regret buying this phone? Not really. It is still a windows 8 which I oh so dearly like. Should HTC PH allow me to trade this in for a 8x then that would be great. March 4, 2013
Final Lines For Smartphone Lover Its a great product for those people who wants a different handset January 27, 2013
HTC 8S I got this phone 1 week ago, it has good design, good battery life, it's kinda hard to get used to it after android but it's not too hard. So pros are. Pros Fast internet Big screen Good integrated people hub Perfect design. Cons Not enough memory and other folder ate 1GB of memory already Can't install apps in SD card Camera could be better at night Beats audio doesn't work on web February 2, 2013
Nice if you neglect the internal memory storage limit The phone is amazing as far as the looks, the sound quality and the interface is concerned, But i believe the more important is the available memory for downloading the Apps, This is the only draw back which brings it to a lower ranking, We really need latest firmware launch, so that we can download the apps to the SD card otherwise there is no use of the expandable external memory. You should really work on this, As if you would be successful, i will rank it as the best Windows phone in the market. Thanks!!! February 4, 2013
memory different from my h.t.c wildfire but as I've seen from other reviews it needs more internal memory but great if upgrading from android March 22, 2013
Didnt know about the memory issue, stuck with phone fro 2 years aggh First Windows phone, great design, screeen, ease of use, love the tablets etc. Tried to down load Navigation apps with two maps, no storage , deleated those bought a game from Windows only 100mb , unable to install not enough memeory, Tried to install to SD card not allowed, this phone has a basic design fault in its memeory. Do not buy unless you dont use apps. Sorry March 27, 2013
Great phone I wanted a spare inexpensive windows 8 phone and initially chose the Nokia Lumia 620. Used it for one day but the battery life was just awful. Opted for this and yes I was aware of the internal storage shortage but I'm not a heavy app or game fan so I won't find it a problem. I want to play lots of music and with the SD slot there is no concern there (although spotify appears to only save offline tracks to the phone memory). Easy to use, looks great, fits nicely in the hand and feels really thin. I'd recommend it and if HTC can change the storage options in future updates then you don't need anything else where windows 8 is concerned. March 27, 2013
Fixed my low memory.. - Try a factory reset (its surprisingly painless) Had the same problem with not enough memory for apps and problems with internet explorer crashing. Finally did a factory reset - which was very smooth and easy. Didnt need to connect to my PC and all apps/settings etc were reinstalled for me over the air. Only thing I had to do was relayout my home screen tiles. Now I have about an extra 700mb of space and I was able to install a load of new apps. Now have all the apps I want installed (which is a fair number) and still 4-500mb free to store app data that cant go on the SD card like podcasts etc. They do still need to fix the issue of not being able to run apps from the sd card and also not allowing apps to save data to the sd card (pain for podcasts), but I am very happy for now! Not sure if I had some large app or file lurking somewhere that I had forgotten about but try doing a factory reset - might work! The coating has started to peel a bit near the usb port though can get over it as the underneath actually looks nicer as its a brighter blue colour that matches the buttons. Sound quality and network signal are superb. Everyone comments on how slim and light it is. Battery life is actually also pretty good and easily gets me through a day even with reasonable data use. Feels very strong and sturdy despite not being metal. Generally I love this phone! Couple of things that an iphone can do that this cant - but very few, couple of issues re the SD card but cant really think of much else. And all at less than half the price of a 16gb iphone !
